Expansion Efforts

Allband Communications Cooperative has secured a $2.1 million state appropriation—thanks to the support of Rep. Cam Cavitt, Sen. Michelle Hoitenga, and the Whitmer-Gilchrist Administration—completing the local match required for its $16.9 million USDA ReConnect Round 4 broadband expansion project. With funding now fully in place, Allband will begin construction on a fiber network that will bring fast, reliable internet to nearly 3,575 households, 122 businesses, and 100 farms across Montmorency, Alcona, Oscoda, and Iosco counties. This investment strengthens Allband’s mission to close the digital divide in northern Michigan, avoids more than $750,000 in potential interest costs, creates immediate job opportunities, and supports long-term economic growth, education, telehealth, and public safety for rural communities.

2025 Annual Coop Membership Meeting

We had a tremendous meeting this year on November 8th, with exciting stats, accomplishments, amazing food, and projects ahead. Our current success would not be possible without the leadership of our GM Ron Siegel, our board of directors, and the faithful support of our customer base.

Sending a warm thank you to everyone that assisted and attended!

If you have any questions about the annual meeting, please call us at 989-369-9999.
